Who is Sally Baker?
I am a UK based senior psychotherapist providing expert media comment on mental health, relationships, family dynamics, body image, trauma and human behaviour. I comment regularly across broadcast, print and online media and am frequently available for rapid response comment, background briefings and longer form analysis.
My work focuses on what drives behaviour under pressure, how early emotional learning shapes adult patterns, and why insight alone rarely leads to lasting change. I bring psychological depth to stories without sensationalism or moral judgement.
Areas I comment on include family relationships and estrangement, relationship and attachment dynamics, anxiety and trauma responses, body image and eating behaviour including the psychological impact of pharmacological weight loss treatments, celebrity and public behaviour, and burnout and resilience in high functioning individuals.
What is my media experience?
I am experienced working live or recorded, and can adapt tone and depth to suit different audiences while remaining clinically grounded.
For press enquiries, interview availability or background briefings, please contact me directly. Same day comment is often possible.
For press enquires or comment availability from Sally Baker, email: sally@workingonthebody.com or call: +44 (0) 7986 812851.
Availability for same day comment varies depending on client sessions. Generally available all day Monday and Tuesday and 9am to 11am or after 6pm Wednesday to Friday.
