Natural Health and Sobriety Podcast on UK Health Radio

I was a guest on Janey Lee Grace’s UK Health Radio Channel and podcast, posing the question and talking about “How Resilient Are You?”  We covered a lot of ground, especially how sobriety can impact a person’s ability to maintain healthy boundaries and can lead to self-sabotaging behaviours.

We discussed my new book, The Getting of Resilience from the Inside Out, published in May 2024 by Hammersmith Books. I write there that alcohol use is one of the most common coping strategies I see with my clients who struggle with a lack of self-worth and who live with an underdeveloped sense of resilience – frequently from growing up in a family environment that failed to provide the nurturing and protection they needed.

Janey is a great advocate for sober living and founded The Sober Club. It is a non-judgmental community for the sober and the sober curious, focussing on living your best life without alcohol.

You can listen to the programme here.

If there’s a part of you that is uncomfortable with your relationship with booze, then do make contact for an obligation-free chat. Sobriety forever more may not be your goal, but taking time to reassess the role alcohol is currently playing in your life could be the life-changer you’re looking for.
